To participate in the project, you can choose many different ways:

Federated applications:

The data federation is not only a single tool, it's protocols. If you are creating an application maybe you want to use the same technologies that the project Lorea to federate your data with other applications.

That includes all the social networks that are part of the seedbed. Or maybe you already have the tool list and only then plug it all.

We are also interested in any collective efforts to create better federation protocols and standards, so we also like to hear of new ones even if you dont plan on supporting any of the ones we already support.

If you wish to federate an application that will be a pleasure to contact you to interchange ideas and information.

Connect your social network to project Lorea:

If you are working on a social networking project, you can commit to the federation efforts for your platform. In this case we can help you on getting started, and will support on getting your network federated into our systems and starting the content flow.

Connect an existing Elgg to Lorea:

If you have a social network under the platform Elgg you may also be interested in connecting to different social networking projects.

To connect an existing elgg instance, you can use the ostatus plugins at our code repo. Also, you can use and participate in the development of our federated elgg codebase.

Creating a new social network:

In addition to sharing data and code, we also share our servers.

If you are interested in creating a new social network, or we can help you setting it up on your own servers or we can create it in one of ours.

Inhabitant:

If you want to participate in social networks, create your own content and sharing, you simply have to register in the social network that best suits your needs and begin the experience.

If you want to participate, you can join the lorea group on n-1. We welcome everyone with ideas, or who wants to help on the coding, administering, etc.
